EASL 095B Pronunciation is an interactive communicative seminar which helps students use, learn, and practice English idioms, slang and expressions in addition to practicing elements of natural pronunciation such as rhythm, stress, articulation of individual sounds and intonation. Students create dialogues and conversations and share them with the class.
Corequisite: Current enrolment in the advanced English Language Program.

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- recognize the major components of the English sound system such as stress, rhythm, intonation, vowels, diphthongs and consonants.
- recognize how these components contribute to the expression of meaning and to communication in general through listening and speaking.
- perceive these features in natural speech by analyzing a variety of authentic speech samples.
- perceive these features in their own speech assessments by self, peer and instructor.
