EASL 092D Leadership is an advanced interactive communicative seminar which offers opportunities for students to learn about and practice leadership skills both individually and as a group. The class works together to discuss, plan and do projects of their choice. Students gain real experience organizing and working as a multicultural team and learn valuable skills for future work situations.
Corequisite: Current enrolment in the advanced English Language Program.

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- develop their personal leadership skills and increase their cultural awareness by learning about leadership qualities, values, styles, issues and directions.
- improve their listening and speaking skills by participating in class discussions, assuming roles in project planning meetings, and working with others in project implementation.
- integrate reading and writing skills in discussions about leadership.
- reflect on leadership in a weekly journal.
- demonstrate their leadership skills by planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities for the international student community.
