OTEC 100 Online Learner Success (OLS) provides students with a working knowledge of the Moodle online learning platform utilized by all Selkirk College online courses. Students submit assignments, discussion postings, emails, and quizzes to gain experience in working in an online classroom environment. This course is essential for student success in online studies.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Use the navigation menu and links to explore in Moodle
- Use communication tools in Moodle
- Submit assignments, quizzes, and self-tests
- Download and upload files as attachments through email, discussions, and drop boxes
Teaching and Learning Approach
Students will use various Moodle tools to practice and gain a working knowledge of the Moodle platform.
Assignments, discussions, emails and quizzes are all completed in order to learn the terminology of the online
learning environment, to learn to navigate around an online course, and to practice the tools themselves.
Students may participate in a face-to-face classroom or a virtual classroom for orientation to online studies.
Successful completion of this course is based on completion of the assigned tasks.Learning Resources
