Teaching and Learning Approach
This course uses a constructivist teaching approach. The student is an active participant in the constructing of
new knowledge rather than being a passive receiver of information. Throughout the course group work and
discussions, hands on activities and realistic scenarios will provide the learner with the opportunity to engage in a
multitude of learning styles. Professionals from the field will be brought in to offer students the opportunity to
further explore, question and investigate old ideas of thinking and constructing new conclusions. Studied
concepts will practice through assignments which are designed to take the learning outside the classroom,
allowing the student to apply newly constructed concepts and understandings.Learning Resources
