Teaching and Learning Approach
This course will be delivered in person in conjunction with ECCE200 Infant Growth and Development that
explores the growth and development of infants and toddlers and how we will use this knowledge and
understanding in the practices for infant toddler programs.
This class requires active participation. Lectures, videos and teaching of skills are combined with interactive
exercises, group discussion, and on-site observation when applicable. Studied concepts will be practiced through
assignments which are designed to take the learning outside the classroom, allowing the student to apply newly
constructed concepts, skills, and understandings.
Due to the nature of this intensive 8-week delivery, a number of assignments will be conducted in class for
assessment. Attendance and participation are mandatory for all infant toddler courses.
