DA 233 Portfolio Development and Design

DA 233 Portfolio Development and Design offers students first-hand experience with open-source platforms for dynamic web content creation. Students install and configure content management system (CMS) platforms and extensions, customize templates, devise effective digital marketing strategies, and build and publish a professional online portfolio.

Prerequisites: DA 131 with a minimum grade of 50%

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Code standards compliant hyper text mark-up language (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS)
  2. Manually install and configure open-source CMS
  3. Extend the functionality of a CMS by installing and configuring modules/plug-ins/extensions
  4. Customize a CMS by adding content and editing templates
  5. Develop digital marketing strategies
  6. Apply digital marketing tools and analytics
  7. Publish a professional online portfolio created in a CMS
