DA 112 Digital Image Making, introduces students to building custom digital artworks and illustrations in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Students exercise their creativity and software skills to create complex artworks.

Prerequisites: DA 101, DA 109, and DA 110 all with a minimum grade of 50%

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

Teaching and Learning Approach

Through demonstration and follow-along tutorials, students are introduced to tools, processes and techniques in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Assigned projects will reinforce the skills explored during demonstration.

1. Exploring vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator 2. Exercise your creativity & Conceptual Illustration 3. Painting with Photoshop 4. Critical thinking Experimenting with vector graphics and text. 5. Exercise your creativity 6. Compositing, utilizing blend modes, filters, and the Puppet Warp tool 7. Study Week 8.
