Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Convert a measurement from one set of units to a second set of units
- Convert numbers into and out of scientific notation
- Solve trigonometric problems involving both right-angle and non-right-angle triangles
- Interpret and evaluate equations involving sigma notation
- Solve distance and direction problems in both two and three dimensions
- Solve problems involving exponents and logarithms
- Solve problems in one dimension involving map scale
Teaching and Learning Approach
The lectures in this course focus on the introduction of concepts and practice in problem-solving strategies.
Students are encouraged to enrich the class by asking questions. The lab provides time to complete the weekly
assignments and get help from the instructor.Learning Resources
