CAST120 Aluminum Sand Casting

Students will learn in a five week intensive how to make sculptural relief designs in aluminum using sand as a mold. First students learn how to make original patterns in two different materials which are then used to replicate their designs. This course teaches students general foundry practices and opens relationships with working foundries.
