Math 99 Environment and Geomatics Math Refresher course will help prepare you for the math skills needed to complete the Environment and Geomatics program at Selkirk College. Topics include solving equations, trigonometry, and problem solving skills.

Teaching and Learning Approach

Each class, we will review topics of mathematics that will be important to your future studies in the SEG program. After a brief lecture on a new topic, students will have a chance to practice with in-class assignments

Learning Resources

You will need a scientific calculator for both this course (and the SEG program in general). A model is available in the bookstore, but any scientific calculator is acceptable. There is no textbook for this course.

1. Topics include: - order of operations/proper use of your calculator - solving equations in one variable - basic trigonometry - unit conversions - other topics as time permits

CRG CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was satisfactory in a credit course.
NCG NO CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was unsatisfactory.
PCG PARTIAL CREDIT GRANTED – denotes that the student has successfully completed a portion of the course objectives in a credit course.
