CASH 23 Cash flow, Money and Inventory II

CASH 23 Cash flow, Money and Inventory II builds upon the skills developed in CASH 20. The course will focus more on the inventory organization of a business. Students will maintain the roles and responsibilities of the cashier, such as counting money, making change and totaling sales, but will also be involved with upholding the standards of the workplace, and ensuring task completion so that the business can thrive.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Organize inventory lists, receipts, bills and track inventory
  2. Identify taxes, PST and GST
  3. Demonstrate independence with money management
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of work habits and industry standards
  5. Use work-related terminology
  6. Demonstrate a mastery of skills set in area of numeracy literacy
  7. Gain more confidence and self-esteem building skills to improve employability
  8. Identify work and personal values
  9. Evaluate personal skills, abilities, work skills, habits, performance and compatibility with the area of work tasks
  10. Apply problem solving skills in professional situations
  11. Develop and practice self-management skills for work

This grading system is based on satisfactory acquisition of defined skills or successful completion of the course learning outcomes. It is used where standard numerical grades are not generally applied, for example in evaluating practicum performance or work placements, in pass/fail courses or for non-credit courses.

PCGPARTIAL CREDIT GRANTED – denotes that the student has successfully completed a portion of the course objectives in a credit course.
