ANTH 101 Introduction to Anthropology II: Cultural Anthropology is an introduction to cultural anthropology in western and non-western societies. Through ethnographic accounts students will study world cultures both at home and abroad.
Prerequisites: English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 or ENGL 60 with a minimum grade of 60%.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define culture and identify cultural attributes for ethnographic comparison; describe and compare various approaches to ethnographic fieldwork using qualitative evidence to support claims
- Support cross-cultural comparisons of peoples studied in the course using ethnographic evidence
- Compare Indigenous ways of knowing and being to settler perspectives
- In an ethnographic research paper, synthesize and summarize course concepts, academic literature, and research by analyzing evidence from scholarly and professional publications
- Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with professional and ethical conduct in anthropology
